An Econometrics Graphical User Interface for R

The GNU project known as gretl has provided superb access to econometrics methods for free. However, it is in a small universe of statistical packages compared to R. What if we had a way to access many of the more standard econometrics methods in R in way that was similarly easy to that in gretl? Then that would be a strong combination--after learning how to use R in this GUI, then one can consider extending the research using more advanced techniques available in the vast universe of R!
